Read our disclosure. Tamás is a real head chef with 25 years in professional kitchens; Gerzsi is his cartoon beaver apprentice. The illustrations and kitchen stories are just for fun; the prices and test results come from the sources named below.

From the kitchen: Gerzsi heard “early Black Friday” and asked if that meant Thursday. It means right now, for a handful of things. Most of the big drops come later.

The short answer

On sale already: two tested picks. The KitchenAid Artisan 5-quart stand mixer and the Cuisinart PerfecTemp kettle were both marked down at Amazon in a Tom’s Guide deal roundup on October 13, 2026.

The dates: Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026. Amazon hasn’t announced when its Black Friday sale starts.

Our rule: a deal only goes on this page if independent testers rated the product and a named deal roundup listed the sale. That’s why the list is short. We’ll add more in mid-November.

Last checked: October 21, 2026. Deals change fast; tap a button for today’s price.

Tested picks on sale now

KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

The deal: Tom’s Guide listed it at $379 at Amazon, down from $499, on October 13, 2026. That’s about 24% off (Tom’s Guide).

Why it’s worth it: it’s the one stand mixer that three testers rated well. Tom’s Guide named it Best Overall, Taste of Home called it the most versatile, and America’s Test Kitchen rated it Recommended. ATK found the bowl sometimes stuck to the base, and its Best Mid-Priced pick is the cheaper KitchenAid Classic. The full results are in our stand mixer guide.

Cuisinart PerfecTemp Cordless Electric Kettle (CPK-17)

The deal: Tom’s Guide listed it at $89 at Amazon, down from $129, on October 13, 2026. That’s about 31% off (Tom’s Guide).

Why it’s worth it: Reviewed named it the Best Overall electric kettle: “This kettle may not look like anything special, but it does its job exceptionally well.” Its testers liked the preset temperatures for tea and the fast boil. The one con they listed: “A little heavy” (Reviewed).

Tested picks to watch

These are the top picks from our newest guides. We haven’t seen a confirmed sale on them yet, so no deal claims here. Decide now which one you need, then check the price when the big sales start.

How we pick deals

A price drop on its own isn’t enough. The product has to be rated by an independent tester first, like America’s Test Kitchen, Reviewed or Tom’s Guide. Then the sale has to show up in a deal roundup from a named outlet, with a date. We write down where we saw the price and when, because Amazon prices can change within the hour. If the button shows a different price today, trust the button.

Chef Tamás hasn’t reviewed these products, so the verdicts above are the testers’, not his.
